FAMILY INVOLVEMENT

The family plays a critical roll in the recovery of the alcoholic/addict. Weekly family support sessions are a key element in the structure of Genesis Sober living. The sessions are designed to be informative and supportive. Family members and residents gain insight into the disease of alcohol and drug addictions while learning more effective ways to communicate with one another. The family support sessions are led by a volunteer, professionally educated in codependency and alcohol/drug addiction recovery.

Additional recovery related resources are available throughout the community for family members of individuals suffering from the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction. The family support sessions will serve as an introduction to Al-Anon and other community support resources.
